| | Health, Safety & Environment OMNI Energy Services is committed to achieve and maintain excellence in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE). Conducting our business in a manner that protects the safety and health of our employees, our contractors, customers, and the communities in which we work, and which demonstrates a proactive approach towards environmental stewardship and continual improvement. QHSE excellence will be achieved through the leadership of management, implementation and communication of a management system approach, and ensuring compliance to all policies and standards. Active commitment and proactive support of QHSE programs and initiatives is required by all employees. This commitment is embraced by OMNI Energy Service’s Top Managers, who are visibly involved in our QHSE efforts. Our commitment to safety is also manifested by recognition programs such as our QHSE Incentive Program. These recognition programs are designed to promote employee participation in pro-active safety measures such as JSA’s and near miss reporting. One of the most important aspects of our QHSE management efforts is to make sure that our employees receive the proper training to perform their jobs in a manner which protects the environment and the health and safety of our employees, our customers, and the public. Included in this training are the following elements: | New Worker Orientation – All affected newly hired employees are given an orientation to ensure that they are aware of the hazards associated with their jobs. Part of this training includes an in-depth orientation training class which covers all the elements required by OSHA, Safe-Gulf, ATF, and PEC orientations. |
 | Safety Training – Depending on their scope of work, all of our employees are given the necessary onshore/offshore safety training to meet or exceed the requirements of regulatory agencies such as OSHA, ATF, and MMS as well as the requirements of our clients. All new employees are listed as Short Service Employees (SSE) until they have 6 month’s experience. Additionally, our employees are kept up to date with recurrence training on all required topics. |
 | Drug and Alcohol screens, Physicals, Fitness for Duty Exams, Security Background Checks including MVR’s – All affected OMNI Energy Services employees are screened in this area before beginning work. Drug and Alcohol testing and MVR’s are done on an ongoing basis. Anyone in our DOT regulated positions also have annual physicals. |
It is the Company’s belief that all accidents and injuries are preventable; that providing job safety and a healthy working environment for the employee is the responsibility of Management, Supervisors, and Foreman, but that each employee must also accept responsibility for safe work performance. Through this joint effort to maximize the protection of life and property, injury-free performance can be successfully pursued. OMNI Energy Services believes that our employees are our most important asset and we will do everything we can to ensure their safety. |
